Highgate Common 29.11.14

Two new species seen today, and a small number of Redwings over. Where are those winter birds???

First new species is a Common Striped Woodlouse...

Also found another Strawberry Snail…

All above were found under a burnt log, which the Wardens had felled a couple of weeks ago. There were even more species, but way to fast for me, soon vanished. Life soon returns, even to a item like a burnt dead log….

To finish off today a selection of the birds i photographed on my walk. Goldcrest, Robin, Wren and a Treecreeper looking under some lichen for breakfast
