Nice and sunny this afternoon, and the temperature at 15ºC. Only draw back, it was quite windy!

Even more Midges over the Island Pool this afternoon…


Even with the strong winds there were a few Butterflies about. Including my first sighting of a Small Heath this year…


Ken also sent me a photo of his first Small Copper this year…


Highlight of my visit, was seeing a day flying moth that is new on my list. Its called a Mother Shipton. I Like the description in my moth book about the two blotches, they are supposed to resemble two Old Hags facing each other…
