It was a mixed bag, weather wise this morning.

2 moths at The Wardens Office.

Wish all the moths were as easy as this Purple Bar to photograph. It was on the door of The Cory Community Door…


Also this Small Phoenix was at a good height. First time I’ve been able to take its profile. I know this is a male, because the male rests with its abdomen curled….

Could not believe my luck today on Brants Hill. I saw my 3rd Green Carpet in as many days. This is only the second time I’ve taken a photo of one. This is by far the best one yet. It never moved, even when i moved the grass from in front of it…


Also on Brants Hill I found my second Glow Worm this year. It was actually walking close to what I call the dogs sand pit. So I decided to offer it a stick, for it to gently climb on, and I would give it a lift to the heather it was walking towards. It looked way more at home on the Heather…

I keep finding Drinker Larva. But no adult moths…


Unidentified moth and larva…


This is interesting to me, found these Shieldbug Nymphs. They have now been Identified as Spiked Shieldbugs. Which is strange because I have not seen an adult Spiked Shieldbug at HC. I will now keep my eyes peeled for the adults. It was hard to photograph these close up, because they were never still…
