Lovely morning on The Common today.
I saw really good numbers of Jays, most seemed to be carrying Hazel Nuts which there seems an abundance of this year. I was lucky enough to photograph one grabbing a Hazel-nut right above me on The Modellers Car Park….
There were still a few Common Darters flying around today. They are getting slower now, and easier to get near too. I love the bottom photo, with the dew which had collected on one of The Staffordshire Wildlife Trusts butterfly notices.
Dock Bug on Bramble…
I can’t seem to find the species of these Shieldbugs. That is even with a great website I have bookmarked on Shieldbugs. Love the marbled effect on these two…
Sawfly and Flesh-fly….
I saw at least 6 Comma this morning. Most of them very worn….
This Ragwort caught my eye glistening in the sunshine. Its a shame my photograph doesn’t give the same affect….
