Sunday, The morning was mainly cloudy. 8ºC

The highlight of the morning was seeing the biggest flock of Siskin I have ever seen. Me and Ken estimated at least 200 Siskin, to the south of the Forestry Commissions land. It was a great spectacle, but unfortunately they were all very high, and against a dull grey sky. So it was hard even getting these photos…

Later on in the year, I’m doing a course on Leaf Mining Moths, so I will be keeping my eyes open for evidence of these Micro Moths. I spotted this one today, can’t wait to learn how to ID these mines. This one in a Bramble Leaf….

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year today, that me and Hannah (Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Warden) saw the Barn Owl on HC….
