Saturday…Lovely sunny day…8ºC.

Me and Ken had 3 lovely walks today…Highgate Common/Mere Lane and also the Sheepwalks.

There was a Harlequin Ladybird (1st of the Year) at the Wardens Office. The only moth was a well worn Dotted Border (No Photo of Moth). Thanks Ken for this photo…

Sometimes it’s great to walk the lanes of South Staffs, and on such a beautiful day we were rewarded with a view of a distant Barn Owl hunting down a tree lined field…

Sometimes I forget I’m only a few miles from home, and this type of morning makes you feel alive. The Sheepwalks is a high ridge and you walk along the top. The 2 views here I photographed are from the top. The 1st one looking right towards Clent Hills, Worcestershire. The 2nd looking left towards Wolverhampton…
